Les organes frappaient la muraille pour la pénétrer, tentaient de toutes leurs forces,
S’accrochaient aux dernières passerelles fibreuses,
Les vers, tenaces, s’enfonçaient de plus belles,
L’espoir se liquéfiait sous la chaleur grandissante, dans l’étreinte des doigts de sang,
La filature se décomposait…

Le cœur décomposé nous remarqua dans la bataille, puis repris sa route,
A la dérive d’une moiteur morbide, plus paisible.

Les mains suantes et seules, se regardent,
Se défigurent l’orbite démesurée,
Le trou béant aspire sa peau froide dans les cendres du mirage,
Ses ongles subsistent, griffant les fines terres d’un souvenir.

Les derniers crins survivants, éparses, hésitent par le vent,
Et enfin s’attroupent, par le temps en deuil, en dunes du futur.

An old illustration commissioned by a teen magazine published by Milan Editions (”Le Chaudron Magique” which has been shut down years ago I believe), in 2009. Huge and painful to finish. The colors look weird -or terrible- because I started to work in CMYK… bad idea. And I don’t like the 2 human characters, they look so ugly and boring :D… I post it anyway, mainly for the creatures, I enjoyed doing their designs. I had forgot all those many details…
